Groups are a powerful form of therapy in which we share similar feelings, thoughts or problems and can develop feelings of trust, belonging and togetherness. In recognizing our similarities, we experience optimism and altruism by supporting and learning from one another. Personal knowledge and skills are expanded through group observation, along with education provided by the therapist and other group members.
While these groups are intended to offer support, education, and community, they might not be appropriate for all issues. The therapists may suggest individual therapy or help you find suitable referrals if they feel that's important for you.
